Aistė Mickonytė at the Annual Austrian European Law Scholars’ Convention

Dr. Aistė Mickonytė, LL.M. held a public lecture at the 20th Annual Austrian European Law Scholars’ Convention (“Europarechtstag”), titled “Rule of law put to the test: Current developments in Poland and Hungary”. This year’s Convention was organized and held by the University of Liechtenstein in Vaduz between 24 and 25 September and was devoted to the overall subject “Potentials and limits of European integration”. In her lecture, Dr. Mickonyte reflected actual and troublesome developments and questions concerning the rule of law crisis in Central and Eastern Europe and also discussed astonishing parallels in the case law of both the ECtHR as well as the ECJ.
