On 21 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Andranik Hovhannisyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of Austria, gave a keynote at the University of Graz on Armenia’s regional and European relations and the evolving political landscape of the South Caucasus.
Rector Dr. Peter Riedler opened the event with a welcome address, and Professor Dr. Benedikt C. Harzl introduced the speaker.
In his keynote, Ambassador Hovhannisyan spoke about Armenia’s relations with Austria and the European Union and about the country’s European path. He also discussed the changing geopolitical situation in the South Caucasus, the prospects for peace and regional connectivity, and Armenia’s role in the wider European security environment.
