Vanessa Nistelberger

Vanessa Nistelberger is a university assistant at the Institute for the Foundations of Law in the department of Prof. MMag. DDr. Jürgen Pirker. She studied law at the University of Graz and examined the protection of national minorities in Scandinavia as part of her diploma thesis. Her dissertation project also focuses on the protection of minorities in Europe. Specifically, she deals with the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages of the Council of Europe and the procedure of the Committee of Experts in applying the Charter to languages not previously covered. Her other areas of interest lie in public law and, through her studies in philosophy and applied ethics, in the interface between law and ethics.
