On 15 December, Jürgen Pirker will be honoured for his work “Collective Rights – Structural Questions and Developments in Jurisprudence on the Freedoms of Association, Nationality and Religion under the Basic Law of the State since 1848” (in German).
In his study, Jürgen Pirker places particular emphasis on the freedoms of assembly and religion, as well as the equal rights of nationalities. According to the jury, these themes are especially well suited to fostering a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles and core values of the Austrian republic and its democratic order.
