On 13–14 February, the Council of Europe, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and Administration and its Department of Religious Denominations and National and Ethnic Minorities, organized an Implementation Roundtable on the Charter in Wrocław, Poland.
The event saw high-level participation from national authorities and representatives from various ministries, as well as speakers of the regional or minority languages. They all engaged in discussions on concrete measures to implement the recommendations for immediate action, as well as further recommendations outlined in the fourth evaluation report on Poland by the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages.
Aleksandra Oszmiańska-Paget, Chair of the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages and member in respect of Poland and Jürgen Pirker, member of the Committee of Experts of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages in respect of Austria facilitated the discussions and emphasized the importance of such exchanges. They welcomed the fact that the authorities proved willingness to find solutions and address the issued raised by the speakers.
