In her presentation, Aistė Mickonytė argued that under EU law, the requirement of, and a right to, a court established by law is applied differently depending on the procedure in question; she argued that the concept of a lawful court under EU law has to take into account the EU’s multilevel legal order and especially the role played by mutual trust.
